Velux

If you have a large loft space or simply want an extra room and have enough head height to install a staircase without a dormer then alternatively you could choose a 'velux' conversion.

A 'velux' conversion is simply creating extra living space without any external alterations, and installing 'velux' windows for light to the loft room. As with all conversions they are left ready for decorating.

A mansard conversion is most commonly found in inner London suburbs. An attractive alternative to the standard dormer conversions, usually created using raised parity walls with stock bricks, they are styled to blend in with existing conversions and roof styles in certain areas.
